Prostone Ventura Concrete started in 2024 with a simple goal: give Ventura homeowners and business owners a concrete contractor they could actually count on. Ventura is a city with a lot of character – older craftsman bungalows in Midtown, hillside homes in the Ondulando neighborhood, beach cottages near Pierpont, and newer developments on the east side. Every part of town has its own set of challenges, and we built this company to handle all of them.
The coastal location creates real conditions that general contractors sometimes overlook. Salt air off the Pacific breaks down unsealed concrete faster than most homeowners expect. Clay soils in many Ventura neighborhoods expand and contract with the seasonal rains – one of the main reasons driveways and patios crack within a few years of being poured. We account for all of this from the first site visit: how we prepare the ground, the mixes we use, and the sealers we apply after every pour.
We are a local company. Our crew works in this community, and we take that seriously. Every project gets the same level of care whether it is a small backyard patio or a full foundation pour.
